How to extend laptop's battery life.

Once or twice a week we hear from people or our neighbors that their laptop's battery is not remaining charged for more than 30 or 45 minutes even though its been a few months since they bought it!
In fact, it is possible to get battery's life for two hours even after 2 years of buying the laptop(or the battery).

Here are some tips for you:

1. Keep the battery cool: Battery life time reduces if it is always hot. So it is very important to clean the vents to help the battery cool off! Dont you ever put the laptop on a pillow or a bed(since almost all vents are at the bottom of the laptop). Try using a cooler pad. (Flat surfaces are also efficient)
2. Reduce load from CPU: Battery life can also be extended by reducing load on a processor. That can be done by closing background programs, increasing RAM size, decreasing the brightness of LCD, chosing correct operating systems that match your specifications.

3. Unplug external devices: (like a mouse or a webcam) when not being used because devices connected by USB consume alot of your battery charge.

4.Clean the battery contacts: Use a cloth (moistened by alcohol) to clean electrical contacts of battery. This reduces resistance between battery and laptop contacts.
